‘I had 9 month’s of lessons with John as late (in life!) starter and came on leaps and bounds, exploring different styles with a nice blend of theory and (mostly) practical, building a repertoire of songs that re-enforced the topics were were covering. My niece also had lessons with John following the RockSchool programme and achieved two Merit grades in a short period of time. Lessons were always friendly and professional; John focussed his teaching on our personal goals and helped us work toward those outcomes incrementally. John was also happy to be led by our musical interests in terms of songs/genres, both acoustic and electric, whilst also introducing us to new styles that we might not have considered/encountered previously.
