As a musician I regularly play gigs and release music, and as an educator I have taught in schools and privately, and continue to teach at the Nottingham Emmanuel school and privately offer lessons from my studio in the city centre, and also my house in Basford.

With a background in rock, Neo-soul, and jazz, my lessons will have you playing music you love from the start! My teaching philosophy is student focussed and I will build the lessons around your aims and strengths. You will be pushed to achieve your best and have fun doing it!

Additional areas which may interest my learners, and add value to their lessons include,

• A great deal of experience in music production, having written, mixed, and mastered works for myself, other artists, and documentary film-makers using Sibelius and Logic Pro X.

• I hold a degree in Music performance from Leeds University, and a Masters degree from Goldsmiths College in Popular Music Studies.

• Bass and Ukulele Lessons
  • I have also been playing bass and Ukulele for ten years and can offer beginner to intermediate tuition on these instruments. The lessons will follow the same approach as my guitar lessons with a mix of technical, artistic, and musicianship study.
